As of May 2015 I have stepped away from active party politics. I am no longer a member of any political party.

I wrote & designed all publications for the 2007 Regency, 2009 Goldsmid and 2010 St Peter’s & North Laine by-election campaigns as well as contributing publications to the 2009 European campaign in the South East, the 2010 General Election campaign in Brighton Pavilion and the 2011 Local Election campaign in Brighton & Hove.
I was a member of the Senior Management Team for Caroline Lucas’ successful 2010 campaign to become the UK’s first Green MP. I was also a member of the Campaign Management Team for the 2011 Green Local Election campaign in Brighton & Hove.
Other Projects
I founded the free e-democracy project. This project evangelised the use of Free Software in government, warned of the dangers of technology in voting and also produced the GNU.FREE Internet Voting system. This project was discontinued but similar advocacy work is done through the Open Rights Group, where I site on their Advisory Council.
I’m a co-founder and lead designer of a hibernating story-telling site the couch which has won critical acclaim for the stories and their presentation.
I founded and edited j-dom, an online magazine published between 1996 and 1997 and what I consider the first version of my blog.
I revived and co-ordinated the Sussex Mac Users’ Group from 2001 until 2008.

I’ve been formally educated in the United Kingdom all my life…

Scholarship: I was awarded 50% off the school fees for my Secondary school education.
General Certificates of Secondary Education: I achieved 7 A*s and 3 As in my GCSEs.
Advanced Levels: I took modular A-Levels and achieved an A in Physics, an A in Chemistry, a B in Maths and a B for French for Professional Use A/S (half an A-Level).
I also studied but did not sit modules from A-Level Biology and Computing as well as GCSE Electronics.
Degrees: BSc(Hons), MSc
Graduated from the University of Warwick with a 2:1 Bsc(Hons) in Computer &
Business Studies (50% Computer Science and 50% Management Science). I was also awarded a prize for producing the best project of the year which resulted in the free e-democracy project being started.
I completed the Technology & Innovation Management MSc at the Science & Technology Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex in 2003. In 2008, after five years at SPRU I decided to discontinue a DPhil on online government consultations I had been pursuing in favour of active politics.
